I was not treated equally or as a partner or participant , until I found DR V,(last psychiatrist) and we formed a great partnership , as she did not impede me, but supported my views as much as she could . She told me I should become a doctor , and I replied that I might , but not an AMA kind. She expounded on my research . She heard me when I told her , to leave the area , for which I am glad . She would have been swallowed up in corp medicine to a huge degree that makes it more difficult to extradite oneself , professionally

Many therapists have not emancipated themselves from their training and think they are there to fix you. They are potentially dangerous. Trust yourself. If your therapist doesn’t encourage you to trust yourself, do not trust them.
